We do not store credit card details on our network and any details obtained are entered into a secure form, which is then encrypted and cannot be viewed in full.
Hosted data stored on our servers
All files, databases and emails hosted on our servers remain your property. We will only access this data for troubleshooting purposes at your request.
Data transmitted to and from your WordPress website is encrypted an SSL Certificate that is provided by HailHost. You are responsible for all data stored on your account.
You agree that you will not store private or financial information on our servers if however, you wish to do so, you agree that you will take full responsibility in an event of a data breach.
Our servers are protected by firewalls, intrusion detection and malware scanners, however best practice security measures (such as using secure passwords) still need to be employed on your end.
We reserve the right to remove files that do not comply with our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use clause.
Stripe
We use Stripe for processing online payments (https://stripe.com/us/privacy/). When purchasing the service using your credit card, we may ask for:
– Credit Card Information. This data is sent to and processed by Stripe, and is never stored on our servers.
Passwords and login information
Client area and hosting account passwords can only be recovered to the registered email address on your account. Email account passwords are encrypted and can only be reset from the hosting control panel. We do not provide passwords over the phone. Unless we have a specific reason to do so, we will not request your WordPress admin login details. WordPress access to your website is obtained via the credentials sent to you when we first create an administrator account for your website. You are free to change/update the passwords of your websites user accounts at your will.
However, we recommend that you do not change/update credentials for the user ‘hailhost [[email protected]]’ in your WordPress website as this gives us access to your website’s backend should it require troubleshooting as requested by you.
Changes to this privacy policy
Changes may be made to this policy from time to time. You will be notified of substantial changes to this policy either by through the posting of a prominent announcement on the site, and/or by a mail message sent to the e-mail address you have provided.
No Guarantees
While this privacy policy states standards for maintenance of data, and while efforts will be made to meet the said standards, HailHost is not in a position to guarantee compliance with these standards. There may be factors beyond our control that may result in disclosure of data. Consequently, HailHost offers no warranties or representations as regards maintenance or non-disclosure of data.
